01
What OpenAI documents about text provenance
As of October 11, 2026, OpenAI offers text verification on request to approved organizations. The public content_provenance_checks documentation covers images and audio, so it does not show that all ChatGPT text is marked, nor does it give a definitive model list or timeline.
Provenance coverage differs by provider, model and format, so each source is best read on its own terms. That is why a side-by-side look at what each provider documents helps before you decide how to revise a draft.
02
C2PA and Unicode are different things
C2PA content credentials attach to files such as images. Invisible Unicode characters belong to text formatting, and they are a separate thing from a provider's textual marker. Knowing which one you are looking at tells you where to check and what a formatting cleanup actually touches.
Our seven free Unicode and formatting tools for English and French run locally in your browser. They tidy visible and invisible formatting so your text is cleaner before you edit it.
03
A revision workflow that stays readable
Paste 10 to 200 words, up to 12,000 characters. Protect exact figures, quotes and phrases, then choose light to change only a few passages or strong to change more of the text. Your text is sent to Anthropic Sonnet 5.5 for the rewrite.
Then read the comparison, keep what sounds like you and reject the rest. The tool works on pasted text, one draft at a time, and results expire within 24 hours, so copy what you keep in time.
If you also work with Claude drafts, the comparison of Claude and OpenAI text provenance shows what each provider documents before you revise yours. Comparison.

Frequently asked questions
Does rewriting remove text marking from ChatGPT or Claude?
No removal is promised, and this is not a detector. Your text is sent to Anthropic Sonnet 5.5, and the rewrite may itself carry a marker, which is an inference from official marking coverage, not a measured result. Anthropic notes that rewrites can reduce detectability without guaranteed removal, and both providers state that a missing result does not prove human authorship. Use the tool to improve your own writing, and follow the AI rules of your school, client or platform.
Which languages and lengths are supported?
English, French, Spanish and German, rewritten in the language you paste. Texts must be between 10 and 200 words and no longer than 12,000 characters.
How does paid access work?
5 EUR buys 20,000 words once, with no account or subscription. You get a downloadable access key. The free tier gives 300 words per day per IP.
